Neither Mads or Hugh are married but have been in a secret casual relationship since King Arthur. As both their careers were taking off they didn't want it all foreshadowed by a relationship and the celeb gossip that goes with it. Both remain single and they see each other when they can on and off over the years.

Technically this is a Madancy AU in which neither Mads or Hugh are married as both of us squick infidelity, but you know, it’s fiction we can write that they have pet dragons if we like (they don’t but that would be cool). This will be non-linear, jumping around different points in their relationship, and for the most part will be fun and fluffy.
