  Summary

  It was said that humans, at one point, were perfect. They were content and happy; there was no conflict, no strife. Until the gods split humans in half, casting the two parts on opposite sides of the world. Then, humans learned longing and fear, each part yearning to find their other half, seeking completeness.

  According to Kojiro’s best friend, the entire thing was bullshit and the gods were assholes.

  Summary

  It was said that humans were once perfect. Until the gods grew jealous and tore their souls asunder, splitting them in half and scattering the fractured pieces to the far corners of the world. It was then that humans learned to live their lives searching endlessly for their missing piece, guided by nothing more than the longing to be reunited with their other half.

  A beautiful story, in Ainosuke’s opinion. One that held very little in common with the harsh reality of finding one’s soulmate.
