Summary
Tommy gets called to the doctors' office to discuss the results of his annual LAFD checkup while he's feeling sick.
~~~Tommy Kinard slipped into the cold chair in the doctor's waiting room without even glancing at Evan sitting beside him. He felt like crap. Had done for three days, but today, it seemed worse than usual.
"Stomach flu", he'd told Evan, nothing to worry about. That was on the first day, Tuesday, when he'd woken up with a start and had to run to the bathroom to puke.
"It's fine, I'll get over it." He told him on Wednesday, when Evan almost called Chimney to tell him that he was taking a day off to look after Tommy. There had been an argument that day, punctuated by dashes back to the bathroom where Tommy got intimately familiar with the toilet.
And then, that same day, the doctor called, asking him to come in to discuss his blood results from the mandatory LAFD checkup that he'd had on Monday...
