Summary
Aeneas knew the name Diomedes well, because he still bore the scars of their first, and until then only, meeting.
Ilios still came back to him like a cold shadow. But if the war and its ghosts haunted him, his blood really stopped at the memory of Diomedes: the Achaean of unstoppable fury, loved by Athena and the man whose ardour was stopped only by the intervention of the gods.Series

Summary
Series

Summary
Between raids and more or less bloody battles, the Achaean contingent had set up a camp where they could live and organize themselves day after day. Alliances, friendships, and rivalries had been created, and Sthenelus had done nothing but continue to follow Diomedes into battle, accompanying him on every sortie at the wheel of his chariot: the quickest way to drag him away when the situation became too tense or dangerous.
What Sthenelus, despite himself, hadn't seen coming were the strange questions his best friend had begun to ask him, from time to time.
It all started almost by chance, with an apparently distracted tone: «Do you think you can let someone know you want them… without saying it, but by showing them you're willing to get your hands dirty for them?»

Summary
Series

Summary
For Hermes, there were few moments of peace in which he didn’t have to run from one side of Olympus to the other, delivering messages or carrying out the tasks his father entrusted to him.
He was used to the hustle and bustle, and he enjoyed his job after all - Hermes knew a lot of secrets, and secrets were power - but there were times when he also liked to slow down.
Usually, at such times, he spent a lot of time with Dionysus or Apollo. Still, recently, he had begun to find the company of Aeolus pleasant as well.

Summary
Diomedes’ steps quickly turned into long, nervous strides, his sandals sinking into the mud, and his vision blurred by the rain. His lips were pressed into a tight grimace and his brows drawn together in what the less attentive might have taken for a threatening expression, but which in truth concealed nothing more than intense nervousness.
After all, the Achaean camp under the storm became strangely silent and almost reserved. To the point that not even the sentries - spears tight against their chests, cloaks drenched - seemed inclined to stop a drenched king with an intimidating air, striding along like a man on a critical mission.
And he did have a mission. Only it wasn't important; it was actually stupid.

Summary
The passage of time in war was an ambiguous and almost deceptive affair.
After the first few years, the days had begun to overlap with each other. There were no more dates to mark, no more anniversaries to look forward to. Only a stubbornly repeating present, which made the idea of months seem theoretical rather than real.Everyone obviously noticed the arrival of winter, just as everyone perceived the arrival of summer with its sometimes annoying humidity. But even that changing of seasons, as the years passed, seemed to have lost its meaning. It was no longer a cycle, just a habit.
Yet, there were still events that made the passage of time impossible to ignore, in fact Patroclus understood that he had entered the month of Poseideon when he noticed the first, slight change in Achilles' attitude.

Summary
Patroclus lay in the red mud of the Scamander Plain with his face pressed against the reddish slime that smelled of copper and sweat.
It almost felt like his body no longer belonged to him, like a sack of flesh and bones that didn't respond to his commands.
Apollo’s strike between his shoulder blades hadn't shattered his spine, but it had done something worse: it seemed to have severed the bond between his soul and his muscles. He lay lifeless.Series
