Summary
“Hey, hey. Calm down, tell me what’s wrong.” Dennis softly whispers against the cold of the night outside of Robby’s balcony.
Robby sniffles, tears running down his face. “I don’t know how to fix this.” He mumbled, soft yet cold. Like the cold he’s feeling from the night and the shivers in his body as realization accumulated over the past few hours.
Dennis looks at the broken lighter in his hands and nods.
“I’ll fix it for you.”
Robby learns to live his life with courage and grace, words from his grandmother etched in dark ink in his chest after she died. He later finds out that the words his grandmother has left him, has been embodied in one Dennis Whitaker.
