He reaches into himself, mind briefly clear enough to be able to tell his body what to do, and he gathers all of his love into his hands and shapes it. There is so much and it is a bright, white light. He forms a great dragon, bigger than himself, bigger than the Shadow, and he commands it to act.
You are everything that I love and need to protect. You are capable of conquering darkness.

Summary
“So when are you and Mike going to talk about your feelings?”
Will inhales his gulp of beer, coughing out bitter liquid as he frowns at Jane.
“What are you talking about?” he wheezes out once his windpipe is clear.
“Your feelings for Mike,” she says plainly, “and his feelings for you.” She says it in a way that makes Will feel stupid, which may actually be her intention.
OR the party gets a chance to relax and reconnect. will thinks mike might be stupid, or maybe he is. maybe they both are.
