The title for this series comes from the Emperor's advice to Shang in Disney's Mulan: “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of them all.” I thought it was appropriate for both Jim and Spock (at least how I conceive them). It will be as much a love story between Jim and Spock, as it will be an exploration of each individual character's development, and it will span Post-Star Trek Into Darkness, all the way into the Five Year Mission.
