Summary
Jake dropped his forehead to Neytiri’s shoulder with a groan that was equal parts frustration and fond exasperation that came from the very core of his being. Neytiri stiffened in his arms, then sagged, a breath of laughter—half exasperation, half resignation—escaping her. He felt the laugh shake through her body before he heard it—a rich, helpless sound that did nothing to douse his own arousal but wrapped it in a layer of warm, domestic comedy.
“They were asleep.” Jake grumbled, his voice muffled against her shoulder.
“They were,” Neytiri managed, her voice shaking with mirth.
As if to prove a point, Kiri let out another sharp sound, her arms flailing, while Neteyam followed suit, his face reddening as he worked himself toward something louder.

Summary
When he’d first inhabited his avatar body, the tail had been a bizarre and clumsy appendage. He’d knocked things over, had to consciously think about its movement. Now, it was as natural as breathing, an extra limb for balance and expression. Seeing it on his son, though, was something else entirely.
Neteyam’s tail was absurdly small, barely more than a thick cord with a puff of hair at the end, and it moved with an honesty that made Jake’s chest ache.
It was unbearably… cute. The single cutest thing he had ever seen in two lifetimes.
And then, an idea bloomed in Jake’s sleep-deprived, utterly besotted brain. A terribly, mischievous, and irresistible idea.

Summary
Neytiri reached into the cradle with the certainty of instinct, her hands finding the familiar warmth of her daughter's body. She lifted Kiri gently, cradling the squirming baby against her chest, and began the slow, rhythmic sway that had soothed generations of Omaticaya infants.
"Shhh, my sweet girl," Neytiri whispered, the words falling from her lips as naturally as breath. "I am here. You are safe. Hush now, there is nothing to fear in the darkness."
Kiri's cry hitched, then subsided into a series of wet, shuddering sniffles as she registered the familiar warmth, the steady rhythm of her mother's heart, the soft, murmured syllables that washed over her like a balm.

Summary
A little body climbed up into the hammock with practiced ease, movements familiar from years of doing exactly this. Small hands pushed against Jake’s arm, searching for space, and then the child wedged himself firmly between Jake and Neytiri, back to Jake’s chest, feet pushing against Neytiri’s legs until he found a position that satisfied him. The hammock swayed gently with the shift in weight, then stilled again.
Jake blinked down, a smile already tugging at his mouth even before his brain fully caught up.
“Lo’ak?” he murmured softly, the name a question more than a reprimand.
