CRACK
The couple’s eyes locked and time slowed down. Wide brown eyes met blue. Both bodies seemingly frozen in time and space.
And then Shane was gone.
It was as though he had disappeared. He was willed out of existence. Or magically summoned away. In the place of his body was a hole in the ice no bigger than a meter.
--Without a second thought, Ilya goes after Shane when he falls through the ice.
