Summary
Mira can only stare back at her; mouth hanging open like a stunned mullet. They’ve only known each other for a few weeks and Rumi has the gall to be so kind to her. She wants to tell Rumi that she’s not worth being treated like she’s precious, but she holds her tongue on that thought. If Rumi keeps going on like this, Mira might as well start tearing up.
“Actually, I was working on some lyrics. Kind of.” Mira turns away from her gaze as she re-opens her notebook. “Wanna see?”
“Of course I do.”
