Description:

When you volunteer as a Capitol tribute in The Hunger Games for 10 consecutive years, then skip a couple of years, and then return again — voluntarily — some people start to wonder what your deal is, what your goal is, whose side you're on. As they watch, your strategy changes every year: from a mere invisible survivor to a merciless executioner.

People whisper, guess, and fear you in equal measure. And still, no one seems to know, the drives of you.

The Capitol tried to claim you, so did the Rebellion, but you didn't side with either of them. All of Panem is wondering why the heck you keep coming back if you have no purpose. Have you just gone crazy and are enjoying the Games, or do you really have a purpose? And if so, what is it?

Notes:

I think the Hunger Games tag is pretty self-explanatory, so I didn't think I needed to give any special warnings. If you're missing that, I'm sorry, I'm not the kind of person who has the patience to collect all of this separately, and I don't think I could satisfy everyone (with categorization, since we all judge the boundaries of these things differently), so it's easier for me to just avoid the whole thing. Of course, I still hope that I'm not causing any difficulties for anyone, as that is not my goal, and for those who are sensitive to various warnings, just be careful!

I hope I have piqued your interest and that you enjoy my little piece of writing.

As you may have noticed, English is not my native language, but I'm trying. As you can see, this is something bigger I'm working on, but I haven't been able to publish things in order, and in some ways, the chronological order isn't even important, but I was curious to see if there would be any feedback, so here I am, posting it.

Have a good time!

    Summary

In the world of The Hunger Games, you're happy if your name isn't pulled, but if you hear the sentence 'I volunteer as a tribute!' you become even more relieved. Jungkook did not avoid having his name picked, and no one volunteered to take his place.

The train he was riding — through Panem into the Capitol — was taking him to certain death. His only comfort was that he at least had the chance to meet Min Yoongi, the Capitol's tribute. Min Yoongi would be entering the arena for the fourth time, having volunteered for the first time this year. Jungkook was curious what could drive someone barely four years older than him to step into the arena again and again.

in short: the tribute from District 2 — young, 12-year-old Jungkook — and the tribute from the Capitol — three-time victor Yoongi — begin preparations for The Hunger Games; get to know each other, learn from each other, bond, and then enter the arena together: The Hunger Games does not rest, continues and does not care about anyone.
