Summary
Gustave survives his encounter with Renoir, all thanks to the help of a mysterious (and handsome) stranger named Verso. While Gustave is grateful, he also remains on guard, uncertain about why Verso has so graciously decided to not only help, but also join their expedition. Driven by curiosity, he chats with the man, determined to find out more.
However, with each conversation, Gustave discovers new and surprising depths to Verso. At the same time, he finds himself being drawn closer, both physically and emotionally, something that is as frightening as it is electrifying.
And when it becomes increasingly clear that Verso feels the same about him, how deep is he willing to fall?

Summary
Life is good. It’s been six months since the canvas was restored; Lumière is safe, and Verso is mortal again, alive but in a relationship with a man he adores. Not only that, but the council has reopened the university, with Verso and Gustave being asked to join as lecturers. There is nothing more Verso could ask for.
Life is good, until it becomes messy, because he soon discovers that Gustave wears glasses. How could he have ever prepared himself for that?
