“Oh, fuck off,” he spat, without any bite. “What’s next, you want me to call you daddy, too?” He meant it as a jab, but then Ilya’s playful gaze turned heated. “Do you… want me to call you daddy?” Another moment passed, and Ilya licked his bottom lip.
“For anyone else, it would be boring. Is a cliché. Too cheesy. But you? You make me want to try all the cliché things, because you make everything sexy."

When Shane trips up at practice, Ilya thinks of a million terrible pet names to tease him with. In the end, there's one particular name and a whole new avenue of exploration that really catches their interest.
