Hax was still in the same position, thumb mid swipe, except he’d blanked out the moment he’d started looking through the Ranked official directory. The air tasted stale. Behind him—his head, actually, because he was laid down—the wall trembled; he could faintly make out the noise of a drill turning on and off. Frowning, he searched for any memory of welcoming, or even noticing, new tenants. Nothing. It shouldn’t have surprised him—his memory was not known for being the most reliable nowadays—, but surely Infume would’ve brought it up to him at some point?
