Summary
“Inmate 1031, step into your cell.”
He could barely sweep a look across the tiny space before the door is slammed shut and locked behind him.
This is where he will be spending the next 7 years of his life while his younger brother becomes a lawyer.
Even as he takes in the hateful looks of his cellmates, he tells himself it’s worth it. 7 years in prison against his brother’s entire happiness, it’s obvious which one is better.
But…
If only he didn’t kill Mo Xuanyu.
If only Mo Xuanyu wasn’t Lan Wangji’s lover.
If only he hadn’t gotten drunk that night.
Then he wouldn’t have to make this choice in the first place.
