Summary
In which I rewrite the in-game book Astrology and You based on my limited knowledge of real-life (Western) astrology, and my knowledge on how much astrologers (and writers in general) like to yap at length instead of reducing all their material to a bullet list. I'm also extrapolating a bit from what we're given, and make a much more expansive and comprehensive version compared to the in-game book.
As a note, I do think that in the world of Palia, unlike in the real world, astrology legitimately works. There's canonically several other forms of magic (the most important ones being Flow and Echo), and the moons seem to be where the gods actually live, so there's at least more proof that it's real than on Earth.

Joining a village (or, presumably, another settlement like a city) is an important Majiri rite of passage, and is necessary to be considered a proper member of the community. However, some things about the game Palia make it seem like this is not all that important. Is that just a feature of the game, or is it canon to the world?
