“You scared, Hollander?” Bryant asks, even though Shane can hear the tremor in his voice.
Shaking his head, Shane just grins, “Surprised they let you up from the kiddie table, Bryant. You've been sitting there for a while, think you're ready to play with the big boys now?”
Luca snorts back a laugh from Shane's right just as the ref approaches. Shane adjusts the grip on his stick and pulls his mouth guard between his teeth, gritting them against the silicone.
Shane wins the face off.

Summary
Without a word, Ilya snaps his fingers and when Shane looks up he is holding Bood's phone in his hand. For a fleeting moment, Shane considers throwing the phone the full length of the bus just to get it away from his husband.
He watches the way Ilya's eyes drag across the screen, reading whatever is in front of him. Ilya's jaw muscle twitches, his eyes narrow, and his nostrils flare. His whole face shifts from the beautiful man that he loves into some chiseled marble statue depicting the depth of man's rage.

Ilya’s brow furrows and his eye squints the way it does when he's parsing his mental English phrasebook to determine what someone is saying.
“Waiting for… bad thing to happen, yes?”
Shane smiles sadly but nods, “Yeah, exactly.”
