1) There are no omegas in professional hockey (or if there are, they keep it quiet). Shane refuses to be kept from his dream by his stupid biology. 2) Shane and Ilya have been married for several years. Ilya recognises the signs of Shane entering heat, and immediately works to give him everything he needs. Soft domestic fluff.
