Summary
Lance's husband did not sleep in bed with him. He did not take his breakfast with Lance, he did not use their shared bathroom, or drink from the tea sets gifted to them for their wedding. Lance's new husband seemed like smoke, leaving just the faintest traces of himself behind; the smell of sweat in the little sitting area, a misplaced boot left by the doors to their wing of the castle, his voice coming up to Lance through the window as he trains in the grounds.

Alternatively, Prince Lance marries the Commander of the Guard, Keith. Despite being the one who wanted the marriage, Keith seems to not want Lance at all.

Summary
Sweet, attentive, terribly gentle and kind. His husband is a gift of a man, dropped straight into Lance’s lap by virtue of Keith’s own persistence. He cannot fathom what might compel a man to be so obsessed as to dedicate his life to gaining the hand of an out-of-reach prince, but he is grateful for it.
His life is so much the brighter for it, as if Keith’s mere existence had drawn back the curtains and shone a lovely light.

Summary
Keith will admit that the study has looked better — they’d been relegated to one shared desk after… activities broke their second one, and so the already massive piles they dealt with individually seemed even more so, stacked precariously on opposite ends. All Lance’s books and bits and bobs had to be emptied and removed, placed in little trunks scattered around the perimeter — Keith couldn’t fathom how he’d managed to cram so many things into a few small compartments, but Lance was a man capable of many things.
Chief among them, making Keith feel like a smear on the bottom of his shoe when he glared like that, his lovely eyebrows furrowed and his perfect mouth tilted into a frown.
“I am pregnant, not incapable,” he snaps.
Keith holds his hands up, appeasing.
