Mark wished he could defend himself by saying he gave in to his desires for mere fear and not arousal and desire in response to power but he’d be a huge liar.
He blames it on presenting while getting beat up by his father to explain his taste for pain and humiliation.
Then it comes to him that he worded it as though he wanted to end their arrangement rather than offering the alternative he came up with. His mouth opens in a flash to defend his case but Conquest beats him to it.
