"Long shen daren," Li Jie breathes, and drops to his knees, raising both hands in a bow. He doesn't usually bother with this level of formality with Ji Ling when they're alone; but he must be concerned, now. Ji Ling doesn't respond- just walks up to him and raises his head by the chin to catch his eyes.
"I'm Ji Ling," he whispers, and feels the prickle in his irises as the spell takes hold.

"Long shen daren," Li Jie says, raising his hands in a salute. He waits, polite, for Ji Ling to tell him why he's here.
Doesn't he know?
"Li Jie," Ji Ling begins, and Li Jie blinks at the coldness of his voice. "Do you remember what I told you?"
Slight color rises on those handsome cheeks. "Of course," Li Jie gets out, hesitation almost impercetible. But Ji Ling knows him too well; knows his tells. He knows exactly what Ji Ling is asking about. "You… said that you would allow it. Allow him and I to..." He can't even look at Ji Ling; the flush is deepening, spreading along his cheeks and onto his ears in the same way it does when Ji Ling is inside him. "As long as it was only at the sect."
