Summary
It was always the same damn thing. A text on a Friday night, some pathetic excuse for an empathetic question. A thinly veiled attempt to distract from what he really wanted.
And Nicholas was a pathetic excuse for a self-respecting man, because every time Euijoo texted to ask if he was up, or what he was up to, or how his day was, he always responded. Sometimes he’d manage to make it an hour, but he usually folded within a few minutes. Soft like fabric, unable to hold any structure.

Summary
Nicholas stared at the last text. A simple greeting. Innocuous. Innocent. Inoffensive. Except really, it wasn’t. It was a ploy—a way to pull him in. Kind smiles and soft touches and little reminders of the pleasant way Euijoo sounded when he whispered into Nicholas’s ear.
And it worked. Most of the time. Not now, though. Nicholas had been stricken down too many times by the heart-and-soul eating virus that was Byun Euijoo. He couldn’t take him to bed anymore. There would be no more knots woven between them, no ties binding them.
