Summary
It went like this- first, Obito died.
A great hero sacrificed himself to save some trash like Kakashi.
Then it turns out Obito was alive, kept captive by some old man.
That’s not how it went.
Again, first, Kakashi killed Rin. This time their team could be sure that she had died, since Kakashi had pierced straight through her heart, there was no coming back from that one. Obito saw Kakashi kill Rin, went ballistic and instead of killing Kakashi like the oath-breaking undeserving trash he was, Obito spared him.

Summary
And Kakashi being Kakashi didnt give two fucks about people who loved him. They all passed by him like clouds. For someone who was touted as a genius from such a young age, it was in matters like these that he had no clue or context about.
Obito despaired at his future.
He knew of Uchiha obsession when he saw one. Love till death do us part. And whatnot. It seemed he had inherited the worst kind of Uchiha trait. He knew in his bones, the way that sun would rise and set everyday, that Obito would love Kakashi until the day he died. Perhaps even after that, he would wait for Kakashi in Pure Lands, and follow him around even there.

Summary
"Look at me," Obito ordered, his voice demanding obedience, and what was Kakashi if not good at following orders. He leaned down until his nose brushed against Kakashi’s scar, his single right eye, with the three black tomoe spinning in a sea of bloodshot red, staring down into the grey, milky eye that couldn't focus on him. "Shut the other one. Look at me with mine."
Kakashi’s left eye dilated, the crimson wheel spinning frantically as it tried to match the rhythm of its twin. The heat flared again a burn behind the socket that made tears leak down into his temple, cutting tracks through the grey whetstone dust on his cheek.
"Forget about everything else, but me. You’re not allowed to think of anyone else but me," Obito hissed, and then his mouth was on Kakashi's throat, biting down on the tight cord of the muscle right where the neck met the shoulder.

Summary
“Haven’t you smoked before?” Obito asked, not expecting an answer anyways. He raised the cigarette to his own face, his mouth closed over the paper right where Kakashi’s lips had just been, drinking in the wet copper trace left behind on the filter.
He took a deep drag, holding the smoke in his chest for three long seconds. Kakashi couldn't even blink against the pull of Obito’s gaze. Then, leaned down until his nose brushed against the silver strands of Kakashi’s hair, Obito forced Kakashi’s jaw open with his thumb and breathed out the smoke directly into Kakashi’s mouth.
The smoke rushed down Kakashi's throat like water, filling every crevice of his lungs. The flowers in his chest shivered around his ribs, pulling back from the proximity of their muse. Kakashi could feel it, the roots twisting frantically, burrowing harder into the red marrow of his spine to escape the smoke, caging around his vertebrae so tightly that his heart gave a panicked leap against his sternum.

Summary
A stress-strain curve is a graphical representation of how a material deforms when subjected to an applied mechanical load. Or a mathematical way to cut your life into pieces to analyse how you ruined it all on your own.
Kakashi relied on Obito's chaos to drag him out of the rigid rules of the shinobi world. And Obito relied on Kakashi’s steadiness to keep himself from floating away. Without Obito he had no one to pull him out of his head. He has Rin, yes, but Rin is a different person entirely. Kushina suspects what Kakashi felt for Obito was something that he could never feel for Rin.

Summary
A puff of breath blew over Obito’s neck, as Kakashi tried to keep as quiet as possible. The alcohol had thinned his blood, too much of it had spilled between that room and this. The blood still sluiced over the lines of Kakashi’s destiny. He could feel the burn of Kakashi’s gaze fixed on his face, immolating him under his own eye.
Kakashi’s spine curled over him, his chest brushing Obito’s black hair, as he wrapped the gauze around his hand. Neat and clean like the house he kept.
“I wish you loved me.”
“I know that I love only you.”
But Obito couldn't speak and Kakashi couldn't hear. Or maybe it was the other way around. Anyways, the silence hadn’t left them alone.
Obito left the bathroom. He wanted to leave this dollhouse completely, but he just couldn't. The leash around his neck was drawn too tight. Too short. It pinched and nipped at the skin of his neck. He couldn't leave, the hunger in his stomach too ravenous. His life was a cautionary tale for fools with hearts of candy.

Summary
Before Kakashi could say anything, Obito stepped in close, closer than before, his knee hooking slightly behind Kakashi’s knee as he pulled Kakashi around in a twirl. For a moment, he was weightless, held up in Obito’s arms, then he fumbled, his heel catching on the edge of the small kitchen rug. Losing his balance for a blink, then Obito caught him by the small of his back, dipping him low, low towards the floor. His back arching in a curve as the ending notes of the song cradled him.
Obito laughed, the sound of it brightening the kitchen, ringing between them as Kakashi’s breath caught in his throat, staring up at Obito. Precious.
