Summary
Oslo in the summer of '91: one out of every five kids you pass on the street wears a denim jacket and a bullet belt, and the pockets of their leather jeans bulge with pocket money. Black metal is the latest religion, a cult going from zero to Jonestown in one mad headlong rush, and there's a vacancy for a high priest. Only a fool could mess this up, and Øystein Aarseth is the greatest fool going.
Or: Pelle Ohlin's telling everybody he didn't lose an arm, he gained two extra. Jørn wants nothing to do with either of them. 'Holy unblack metal' is somehow a thing. None of them should be there, and they really ought to be writing it all down.
