“On the contrary, I’m burning hot on the inside. Don’t play dumb; you feel it, too.” Bunny’s voice had a sultry edge to it now, his large hand slowly inching further up Sae’s tensed thigh. “Did you lose your edge in Japan? The old Sae would’ve had me pressed up against a wall by now.”
Sae swallowed as his traitorous mind dredged up memories of sloppy makeout sessions in the training camp dorms that ended in breathless laughter and hickeys their jerseys would just barely cover. Stop it.
“The old me was an idiot.”
or: the current Sae is also an idiot.

“Oh. That.” Kaiser tapped his chin as if he were thinking about it. After a moment, that sharp, predatory grin spread across his face once more. Unease sprouted in Sae’s chest. “A little birdie told me you fuck nice and hard, so naturally, I wanted to see for myself just how true that was.”
Sae’s blood ran cold.
