Summary
Technically speaking, Hospital Volunteers weren't supposed to be working in the ER.
They weren't even supposed to be anywhere near it- Their job was basically just supposed to be playing cards with Old People and reading books to babies. Maybe sometimes they even got to be the people who served Jell-O to people who had a good story to tell. That was it.
OR:
A day at the Pitt, told from the perspective of a Hospital Volunteer.

Summary
Robby hung by the door, an extra backpack on his arm. It was smaller than his, and covered in moon designs. He hadn’t held a bag like this since.. He didn’t want to think about the way his relationship with Jake and his mother had fallen apart since Pittfest. He needed to focus on his current charge, anyway. The one who Jack had convinced him to let crash on his couch, although it was for a good reason. He’d had a feeling something was off with the kid all day, and now this only served as confirmation.
OR:
Alex and Robby head home. Robby wasn't expecting to be a parent ever again, but here he is, he supposes.
(Follow-up to 'young, dumb, and broke (but we've still got love to give).)
