When Zoro accidentally discovers that Sanji is trans, their relationship slowly grows from private understanding into something much more intimate and beautiful, as they navigate coming out, chosen family, and the weight of becoming fully visible. From quiet moments of recognition to public declarations and the messy joys of being a Straw Hat pirate, "Lavender and Steel" explores what it means to be seen fully—and loved anyway.

At its heart, this series is an homage to queer love and culture-- with One Piece filler-arc flair.

To me, it reads like a balanced blend of humor and hurt/comfort with plenty of sugar and spice- garnished with a whole lot of love.

(Also, there's no mid-series breakup either. Screw that!)

Notes:

I have three fics planned. This series will be pre-written before it's posted, which means updates will be regular and consistent.

I wasn't intending for this to become a series, but here we are. I loved the first story so much, I decided I didn't want to let this concept go.
