“Do you think all your problems could be solved with money?” The question wasn’t condescending, but it still rubbed Amadeus the wrong way.
“Yes ”He answered without hesitation, he turned back toward the window, watching the city lights smear across the glass.
The man hummed “How much?”
Amadeus chewed on the inside of his cheek. Outside, a stray dog slept beneath a streetlamp.
“Four thousand dollars.” He said at last. Just enough to cover rent and bills for a couple of months while he searched for another job.
The stranger laughed and Amadeus immediately looked over, face warming with embarrassment. The man had the faintest lines framing the corners of his mouth when he smiled “That’s it?”
Amadeus scoffed “Easy for you to say.”

Amadeus Cho had a rough go at life, and when it rains it pours. Having just lost his job, and facing his bills, he decided to go drink his sorrows. Little did he know how one night out would change his life.
