Summary
Jason finds the wound on Bruce’s throat with unerring accuracy, and coaxes the clotted blood there to soften with a few licks. When he latches on, he drinks in hasty draws. His hands flex against Bruce’s chest in a mimicry of a kitten’s kneading. Bruce’s vision swims.
A moment later, Dick grasps Jason’s shoulder. “That’s enough, Jay.”
Jason growls—a weak, reedy noise—and digs blunt teeth against Bruce’s throat in his desperation to hold on.
“It’s alright,” Bruce says, laying his hand over Dick’s.
Dick meets his eyes. “He’ll kill you.”
Let him, Bruce thinks. Oh, god, let him.
After his murder, Jason’s family brings him back to life.

Summary
“What’s wrong with you? Seriously, you’re being a jerk. You never want to hang out with me anymore unless it’s to tell me what to do.”
“Because you’re acting reckless,” Dick says, which is rich, considering Jason hasn’t left the Manor in three whole weeks. Where was all this brotherly concern before he died? “You’re always sunburned, and you keep forgetting your shades, and you don’t drink enough—”
“I drink as much as I want,” Jason says hotly, which is true; it’s just never enough. He thinks he could guzzle gallons of refrigerated, artificially-anticoagulated blood and his stomach would still feel hollow. What he really wants is warm, and living, and real, and—and he shudders with revulsion, biting the inside of his cheek.
“It’s not enough,” Dick insists. “Your eyes are still red.”
“Yeah, well,” Jason spits, “whose fault is that?”
Jason copes with the indignities of being a fledgling vampire.
