This fic uses their traditional Greek names, contrary to their romanized versions.

"I have a... proposition for you," he said, leaning on the lockers.
"Uh-huh-- which is what exactly?" Hyacinthus asked, cocking his eyebrow.
"You have good grades; I have bad grades. See where I'm going?"
"Stating the obvious? Why did you need to chase me down in the hallway in order to tell me this?" Hyacinthus sighed.
Apollo groaned, "No. I am saying, you could tutor me, eh? That also got me thinking: what if, to make the whole school buzz, we dated. Fakely, of course!"
"One," the other began, "The word you would use there is pretend, or even falsely-- not fakely." Apollo rolled his eyes dismissively, but Hyacinthus continued, "Two, why in the world would I do that? It would only benefit you."
"Because I would pay you to do it, duh. Who would deny free money?"
