Summary
Oh, how he wished it were a normal day—to be facedown at his desk, reliant on the morning bell to wake him up. Instead, looking into his classroom, his desk was god-knows-where and today’s bell was ignored, eclipsed by the scraping of metal across wood and chattering of classmates: sweeping and cleaning, decorating and rearranging, and shouting across the length of the room at each other.
Even the signs outside the door, with giant, colorful letters that read ‘yakisoba!!!’ felt too excited.“Uenoyama-kun?” As soon as he stepped inside, Uenoyama whipped his head towards the sound of a friendly, feminine voice. She, not so subtly, looked him up and down.
“Don’t say it.”
Kasai threw a hand up in defence. “I wasn’t going to say anything.”
