Summary
There are ways that do not involve lighting a cigarette every time the mind needs to mute itself, or drinking until the tears spill over and a hangover painful enough to focus on, distract themselves from everything else. But Jai has never been good at choosing the easy path. In Pik’s eyes, he has always chosen the one that burns.
But it’s not something he has a say on, he can’t, when he himself prefers ways that burns him. He prefers ending up in Jai's bed, underneath him or above him, thoroughly fucked into forgetting, giving into Jai’s needs as much as his own.
