Jason Grace has spent years successfully avoiding birthdays. Between the Roman legion, godly expectations, and the general inconvenience of being struck by fate every other week, July 1st has never exactly been an occasion.
Unfortunately for him, Leo Valdez discovers the date.
Which means Piper organizes, Leo escalates, Percy enables, Annabeth supervises, Hazel decorates, Frank stress-cooks, Nico gets unwillingly involved, Will enthusiastically inserts himself, and suddenly Camp Half-Blood is treating Jason Grace’s birthday like a national emergency.
Jason is exhausted. Deeply embarrassed. One minor inconvenience away from launching Leo into the nearest lake.
