Summary
“Are you staying out of trouble then?”
Megumi rolls his eyes at the remark and Tsumiki laughs at him, a gentle, warm sound. She reaches over then, one hand lifting from Kuro to place itself on top of Megumi’s hair. She ruffles his dark strands, laughs a little more as he scowls and tries to lean away from her touch.
“Good boy,” she says and pulls her hand back. Megumi tries to fight the blood that he feels rising to the surface of the skin under but there’s no use. It spreads like wildfire, from his ears to the apples of his cheek.
Perhaps he can blame it on the sun.
or, Megumi gets to be Tsumiki's puppy.

Summary
"Aren't you going to ask me?" his father wonders, arms unfolding as he takes a few steps closer, cornering Megumi against the sink. "Aren't you going to ask me how long it's been going on? Come on, Megumi, you're never this quiet with me."
"Shut up," Megumi snaps, turning around to face his father fully. "I don't believe you." Except he does. He really, really does.
For suddenly it all makes sense. The way Tsumiki tends to be more tired when their dad is at home. How he makes her go with her on every little errand he has, how he always finds the time to take her to hospitals and dentists and other appointments that Megumi can barely remember having been to himself in years.
