Summary
It’s Porsche’s third heat with the Theerapanyakuns when he starts to feel like everything in his life is falling into place.
The first heat, well. The less said about it, the better. The only saving grace was the drugs that triggered it (and Kinn’s rut) made it so intense it only lasted 37 hours, instead of the usual 72.
The next one comes just a few months later, brought on (the doctors say) by the stress of the coup. Porsche privately thinks it was about the usual time for it, and that his body just decided to ignore the fake heat and go on normally. But he still consents to the hormone stabilization treatment, because he and Kinn can’t afford to take three full days off every quarter if it turns out he was wrong.
It’s the third one where he feels like everything is falling into place, and the reason for that is…
“Pillow,” Big says. He’s been locked in on helping Porsche make his nest since he started showing signs of preheat. Betas are supposed to be hormonally neutral and unaffected by heat/rut cycles, but Porsche swears Big is having more of a pre-rut than Kinn is right now.
