Eddie loved his son. He loved his son so, so much. He would never stop fighting for his son. It didn’t matter if his helicopter was getting shot down in a desert halfway across the world, or if he was nearly drowning while trapped under thirty feet of mud, or if he was crawling on hands and knees back to El Paso in contrition, he was going to do whatever it took to be with Christopher.
But he had also just kissed Buck for the first time ninety minutes ago, and he was supposed to have 1,440 more minutes of kissing before they had to go back to the real world. Eddie had waited seven years for this, he wanted twenty-four hours of uninterrupted necking with the love of his life, god dammit.

Summary
If Eddie had known that allowing Chris to host a sleepover would set off a series of events that would prevent him from having sex with Buck for three whole weeks, Eddie never would have answered that phone call, fatherly duties be dammed.
But Eddie did answer the call, and he did allow Chris to host a sleepover, and it did set off a series of events that prevented him from having sex with Buck for twenty-two days and nearly resulted in anaphylaxis, their joint termination from the LAFD, a speeding ticket, and a violation of California Penal Code §314(1) for indecent exposure.
But Eddie was getting ahead of himself.
