Summary
“What’s your name then, Bartender?”
“Who’s asking?”
Aaron smiles. “Well, me, I guess, the bloke you keep pouring pints for?”
“Robert,” he provides.
“Robert,” Aaron enunciates, liking the sound of the name on his tongue. “Tell me, since you’re a bartender and all, what is the meaning of life?”
“You adhering to stereotypes now?” Robert questions with a sly look in his eye. “You know bartenders aren’t qualified to be actual therapists?”
___
Or: Aaron meets Robert one day behind the bar at The Lonely Badger, and the connection between them is practically instant. For a man who prefers to let people go rather than let them in, it's utterly terrifying, but still, he can't stop pursuing him. When he finds out who Robert really is, and that their connection goes even deeper than they ever thought possible, what started as a drink across a bar forces them to break free from the ghosts they've both kept hidden away.

Summary
"They're molten lava, burning against each other, turning each other to gold. And if Aaron weren't a better man, he wouldn't think of the place he grew up in, the people he once knew, his family, because there's a selfishness to his and Robert's alchemy. To go home to Emmerdale now, he would first have to let go of being held in these arms, and that's not something he wants to sacrifice.
But he is a better man.
So, he's holding on now, breathing him in, taking everything he can from him, because Robert doesn't want to go back, and Aaron has to."--
Or: For two years, Aaron and Robert have lived together, away from the scrutiny of the village they once called home. But when tragedy forces them both to return to Emmerdale, a place that hasn't felt like home in a long time, they must reckon with their demons to find out where they really belong.Series
