Description:

After the events of Season 3 of the Mandalorian, Din Djarin and his son settle down.
Din takes safer new republic hunting jobs and helps Greef clean up crime around the city.
Grogu gets to be a normal kid and grow up in a happy safe home.
Well, for the most part.
Trouble just always seems to have a way of finding the pair.
They’re surrounded by their friends, who become like family.
Aunt Cara
Uncle Mayfeld
Uncle Boba
Aunt Bo Katan
Aunt Fennec
Nana Peli
Grandpa Greef

They are surrounded by love and support.
And Grogu grows.
He learns.
He goes to school; not to be trained, but to be educated.
He plays sports
He makes friends
He goes to the dentist
And Din tries to keep up as the ever evolving duties of fatherhood do their best to keep him constantly on his toes.
And they live.
Just for the joy of living.
For the Mandalorian who once had no one…
It’s the best life he can imagine.

Notes:

In this AU, Grogu has an age.
Since we don’t know how he actually ages, I’ve decided that in my universe, the species ages pretty typically from infancy through about the age of 25.
And then they remain adults for centuries.
And so Din and the family decide to count time for Grogu based on when his new life with them began.
On the day Din rescued him.
So he is 1 in season 1 of the Mandalorian
2 in season 2
And so on
They celebrate his birthday each year on the anniversary of him being found.
Grogu finally begins talking when he’s 3 and a half, just after the end of season 3.
Grogu doesn’t remember most of the events that took place during the TV show, cause he was so young.
He only has 2 clear vivid memories from that time:
The moment Din found him in the pram
The moment Din took his helmet off before saying goodbye

The stories are not in any chronological order. They’re just random little moments throughout Grogu’s childhood.

Also, Din is 39 when he finds Grogu. So he ages along with him.
He is making peace with his religion and has decided to be more casual with his helmet. He still wears it most of the time, but takes it off when he feels comfortable around someone or when he just feels like he wants to.

Also, the aunts and uncles are probably very OOC. But I don’t care. It’s my universe, and in my universe, Migs Mayfeld is the goofy fun uncle and Aunt Cara does play dates and Aunt Peli watches Grogu while Din works. Them’s the rules.
