“What—” Korra swallowed hard. “W-what do you need with those?” Her eyes were fixed on the cuffs dangling from his fingers.
His rebellious little Avatar. Stubbornly clutching to every scrap of freedom and refusing to give it up. Tarrlok would have found it exasperating if it wasn’t so enjoyable. Nothing excited him quite like matching wills with Korra.
It would almost be a shame when she finally learned that he would get what he wanted every time, no matter what. Almost.
“For your bath, Korra,” Tarrlok explained patiently. “You do want to be clean, don’t you?”
