Summary
Landon's been sent back down to the minors, and Casey is all alone again in his gigantic, empty house. Landon has been distant, but not entirely silent, and Casey is determined to make him see that a long-distance relationship is totally possible. Casey's never been in one himself, or in any relationship for that matter, but it can't be that hard, right?
Casey is persistent, and Landon finally cracks when Casey shows up unannounced at the bus station in Saskatoon on a frigid February night. Landon's not totally convinced, but Casey makes a pretty good argument in favour of sticking it out. Landon is already in way over his head, but he's willing to go down with the ship as long as Casey's on board.

The patio door burst open and a rush of cold air swept into the living room. Landon startled and nearly dropped his book on his face. Casey clomped into the house in gym shorts and a parka, which he promptly shed onto the floor behind him. He looked ridiculous with his bare calves poking out of his winter boots. Water began pooling at his feet. Landon made a mental note to wipe it up before he returned to his book.
“Wanna come hot tub shopping?” Casey asked.
