Summary
Kimi nodded in defeat, stringing the necklace to his neck from behind him. His hair was ridiculously fluffy–if Ollie had just seen Kimi’s hair from atop the boulder, he would have thought there was a dog stranded at the rocks for whatever reason. But admittedly, it suited Kimi more than Ollie would’ve liked.
“At least try to be original,” Andrea said as he tried to clip the necklace to its matching hook. Ollie rolled his eyes and took the two ends from Andrea’s hands, finishing the needlessly complicated act for him. “Thanks?”
“You're welcome; you owe me now,” Ollie replied.
Kimi glanced at Ollie with an amused expression. “What do I owe you, my knight in shining armor?”
Ollie knew friends who were writing to others from home, but he didn’t have anyone to write to him from afar. You don’t even know the guy, Ollie; you can’t just ask people that! His thoughts spat at him. Well, because of you, I don’t have anyone to write to, so watch me. Ollie thought back.
“Write to me during the war,” Ollie blurted out.
Or Ollie goes to war as a medic, and Kimi writes to him.

Summary
Sequel to Nothing Would Have Changed
“C’mon, beachboy, they sent me out to get you home, so let’s get you home,” Lando said with a gentle grin, picking up Kimi as if he were a plastic doll and carrying him down the beach. But he didn’t want to leave, leave this beach, leave the rocks. It felt like abandoning something that he didn’t have a word for, but the feelings tied to it were still there, real.
“But I’m still waiting.”
Or: Kimi the night when the remaining soldiers come home, and Ollie isn't one of them.
