Summary
Cronus had won. The Gods, mere servants now, wandered aimlessly through the mortal world. All except Aphanaia; her temple, left to rot in obscurity, did her a painfully fitting justice. She was a goddess born of the remnants, back when Chaos began to order itself and the Cosmos took shape—the small crumbs of what could have been, but wasn't.
She had always kept herself apart, content to be the end of the road for those who didn't quite know where to go, but needed to go somewhere all the same. The walls of her temple whispered secrets that had long since slipped into oblivion, and through her halls wandered those who had forgotten themselves.
