Summary
“You look and sound ridiculous...” the rat snarkly said, earning a harsh glare from his friend.
“I do not! Stop being a jerk—” the other tried to defend himself, his words slurring a bit and his face merely twitching in an angry expression as it was still suffering from the face paralysis the harsh cold had given him.
The Head Nurse sighed and walked into the check-in room to sit down for a bit while she enjoyed her coffee and her break, the Nurse's eyes lightening up in a bright idea.
“You guys happen to be here at the right time! A newsreporter gave us an advanced camera to identify anomalies, me and Intern want to try it out, are you up for a group photo?” she asked excitedly.
“I'm out.” the Head Nurse replied, before going back to her coffee.
“Well I'm out too.” the patient replied, adjusting his glasses.
“Oh, come on, have fun for once! Let's take that picture, it'll be quick.” his friend incouraged him, he was somewhat mocking him, he knew exactly that his friend wasn't exactly perfect-picture in his current state. Still, the patient begrudgingly groaned in agreement.
“Fine...let's take the picture.”

Summary
The Hospital, despite emergencies, had a routine: check in patients and visitators, treat patients, note down their leaving and repeat, occasionally and pleasantly interrupted by banter with co-workers.
Despite the anomaly-pandemic, there was something undeniably familiar and daily about Intern's shift at the Animal Hospital, and someone else was also part of this routine
Barney was an habitual visitator at the hospital, except he didn't come for check ups or to visit someone...he always asked for a cup of coffee. A cup of coffee, when ten more coffee shops could make a thousand better cup of it, unlike the coffee bean-flavoured water of the Hospital. Sometimes they wondered if it was his way to hog coffee and avoid paying for it.
Nonetheless, despite being years older than Intern, Barney had a somewhat unique charm that Intern couldn't quite put a finger on it, yet he had something undeniably creepy going on about him...

Or, Barney fell for Intern and started showing up at the Animal Hospital more frequently just to see them, and doesn't tolerate any unfair/rude treatmeant towards his love.Idk Barney is on smth bro
