Summary
Niragi is a very angry man. Some people get handed unfortunate cards in their lifetime— some people don’t get any at all. If there’s anything that he’s learnt within his life, it’s that you’re given what you're dealt with. No amount of delusion can change what’s meant to be.
Although, he never expected delusion to come in the form of a five-foot-nothing, sketchy, poorly-bleached blond haired man, a smile like no other and knowledge he shouldn’t bare.

Chishiya catches people when they’re most desperate, presenting them with two things; a deck of cards, and a deal they can’t refuse. After that, it’s safe to say they don’t make it that far in terms of their life expectancy.

“Oh my God.” Heiya blurted, a hand falling to her chest as the other braced itself against her wheelchair; her breaths coming in uneven, chopped bursts. “I don’t think I can do this anymore.” She shook her head fearfully, screwing her eyes shut.
A yelp fell from Kuina’s mouth as the ship tilted slightly— and at this point, Niragi wasn’t sure what was louder; the crashing of the waves against the ship, the screams of the people overhead, or the damned voice of Kelly Clarkson singing ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’.
In a matter of two steps, Niragi makes his way over to the girl, placing a hand on both of her shoulders, and consequently on top of Kuina’s hand too. “Don’t be afraid.” Niragi muttered, his words quiet and nearly indecipherable amongst the havoc above. However, he meets her eye with a surprising amount of certainty, and despite the fact he didn’t reckon he could ever wield as much reassurance as he was doing now, he let himself crack a solemn smile her way. “We’ll make it out of this mess.”
