“Oh, I’m not either,” he confessed, chuckling. “I just wanted to impress you.”
Sunday’s heart pounded fiercely in his chest. His cheeks turned red hot, and he was grateful to the dim lights of the restaurant. “You impressed me, though.” He murmured. Sunday swallowed the knot that tangled his throat. “Here’s the truth, Mr. Gallagher.” He pinched the fork beside his right hand between his forefinger and thumb. The metal was too cold against his burning skin. “You always impressed me.” He swallowed another knot in his throat. “That’s the secret of my talent.”
After being accepted to the Académie des Beaux-Arts, Sunday becomes a prodigy in just two years. Many call him the new Raphael, others Caravaggio – but in the end, everyone considers him a skilled artist.
His paintings drip love; magnificence—who would have thought that a mysterious boy from Las Vegas possessed such talent? It’s almost like someone cursed him.
But here’s the thing.
His talent stems from an obsession that haunts him even in his worst dreams.

His cheeks flushing red, Gallagher scoffed. “I said I’m gonna help you with the drawings,” he murmured, “not the other way ‘round.” Quite the lie. He observed Sunday chewing and slowly swallowing his forkful, the latter’s golden eyes softly fixed on him.
“Do you think? Maybe. I don’t know if it’s really going to be a drawing session.” Sunday poured some water into his glass and drank, a sneer peering out the rim. “Now that I think about it, I need an up-close study of the body anatomy…”
As Sunday’s most beloved muse, Gallagher can see only benefits from their fresh relationship. Except he’d forgotten Sunday sometimes can be a little twisted.
But, sometimes, putting into practice some special sketches shouldn’t be a big deal, right?or
