Hitoshi swallowed. “Sorry, Bakugo,” he murmured, more to himself than to the boy.
He reached up to the side of his face, his thumb clicking the settings or his voice modulator. He didn’t even waste half a second selecting a voice, one the world hadn’t heard in about a year.
“Kacchan,” he called, a perfect imitation of Midoriya’s voice. Even though he was the one speaking, just hearing it Hitoshi could feel the familiar warmth that had filled a void in multiple of his classmates’ hearts. Todoroki looked over, his eyes wide. Hitoshi didn’t dare face him, knowing Todoroki was also one of Midoriya’s best friends, so he kept his eyes fixed on Bakugo instead. “Wake up!”
Amidst his second year in U.A.’s Hero Course, Shinsou is given a choice.

Eijiro’s breath caught as he glanced at Bakugo, who wasn’t even looking at him anymore. His eyes were half-closed, his face slack with exhaustion. The question sounded less like a confession and more like the drunken need for reassurance. Which, it probably was.

Instead, he forced a small smile, gently pushing him against the pillow. “Go to sleep, Bakugo.”
