“You really don’t know when to stop,” he said.
Amanda tilted her head slightly, unbothered by the warning in his tone. “You could teach me.”
That made his gaze sharpen immediately, the humor draining out of his expression as something more focused took its place. He studied her like he was trying to decide whether she was being reckless or deliberately cruel.
Amanda knew exactly what she was doing when she let her voice soften on the next word.
“Daddy.”
