Summary
When Rick attempts to create a longer-lasting batch of portal fluid by saturating it with Isotope-322, the resulting spatial-temporal portal gun malfunction launches the Smith family into interdimensional limbo until the device's calibration systems locate a universe that provides the closest match to the isotope's decay signature. This is Dimension Terra-1692, identical to Dimension C-131, with one critical difference: time is stuck in a loop of Earth Year 1692 AD. While the rest of the family struggles to adapt to life in Massachusetts Bay Colony, Rick must refine raw materials needed to repair his portal gun and dodge -or tease- the long, brutal arm of religious law when his scientific abilities are observed by other residents of Salem Village.
