It’s a nice watch - silver, clean, clearly worth more than a thousand dollars, if it was in good condition. Checking that Six isn’t watching, he picks it up and shoves it into his pocket.
He cautiously brings the gloves to his nose to try to identify the scent. Heat rushes to his face as he inhales. Gunpowder. Cedar. Sweat. He exhales shakily, parting his lips.

Teaser for Ch2/3:
When Six dips his head down in exhaustion, Tangerine rears back as much as he can against the floor and headbutts him. See, Tangerine expected that to make him let go of him or at least loosen his grip, but no. Of course not. Six growls at the pain and grips his wrists tighter.
