Summary
“And um, one more thing,” David said hesitantly. Ava pivoted her gaze back towards him, becoming rather baffled. What could possibly be more important than all the crap he had just finished telling her?
“The sun's back,” David said.
...
In which Ava wakes up outside of the sub, missing a leg, an explanation, and slow-returning memories of bartering with a god. And oh, the sun’s back. While the remnants of humanity scramble to make sense of the slowly returning cosmos, Ava struggles to feel... anything at all.
And the one-armed, haunted convict that can't seem to stop apologizing doesn't help matters, either.
